In our Company, Rekrut Me s.r.o., with its registered seat at Bořivojova 878/35, 130 00, Prague 3, represented by Josef Karas, Managing Director, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, File Reference C 194825 (hereinafter also the "Controller"), we make the protection of your personal data a priority. We want to ensure you that the personal data you provide to us is processed responsibly, transparently and in accordance with the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679. You are entitled to request information on the personal data we hold based on your consent and ask for its rectification or its deletion. If automated processing occurs, you have the right to data portability. If you have any questions or requests regarding the processing of your personal data, you can contact us in writing at the registered seat of the Controller.
Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use.
We will collect and use personal data solely with the objective of fulfilling those purposes specified by us and for other compatible purposes, unless we obtain the consent of the individual concerned or as required by law. We will only retain personal information as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes.
Personal Data Security
The Controller takes care of the security of the personal data you provide. We will protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to sufficiently protect your data with respect to the severity of its processing. No unauthorized person has access to your personal data that we have obtained from you, and we do not pass it on to other entities for further processing without your consent, unless required by law or the protection of our legal interests.
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. We may provide your personal data to affiliates that provide services to us with regard to our Website (i.e. payment processors, Website hosting companies, etc.); such affiliates will only receive information necessary to provide the respective services and will be bound by confidentiality agreements limiting the use of such information.
Collected Personal Data
We collect personal information whenever we communicate with you directly on the phone or during a video conference, via e-mail, built‑in chat on the Website, any of our social media accounts, web messaging services, or when you decide to sign up on our Website as a Registered User. The purpose of collecting the data is the successful match of Registered Users as they meet on the Website with the objective of reviewing each other and finding a match over time. The exchange of information is limited to data directly necessary to enable a successful matching experience of individuals.
Collected Personal Data includes in particular your e‑mail address, telephone number, full name, birthday, gender, user name and password, photographs, and videos. If you sign up as an athlete we may also collect information about the sport you play, secondary school graduation date, local club teams you play(ed) for, athletic information (statistics, rankings, ratings, personal bests, etc.), academic information (GPA, test scores, awards, etc.), intended major in college, information about you as a person, and payment information. If you sign up as a coach, we may also collect information about your position and title, sports criteria of potential student-athletes, information about the college team you run (level of play, practice schedules, etc.), and information about your college in general.
Under the Child's Online Privacy Security Act, no Website operator can require, as a condition to involvement in an activity, that a child younger than 13 years of age divulge more details than is reasonably required. RekrutMe abides by this demand. RekrutMe just collects information willingly offered; no information is gathered passively. Children under 13 can submit only their email address when sending us an e‑mail in our "Contact Us" area. RekrutMe makes use of the e-mail address to respond to a one-time demand from a child under 13 and afterwards deletes the e-mail address. In case RekrutMe collects and maintains personal information relating to a child under 13, the legal guardian may send out an email to us to review, alter and/or erase such info as well as to decline to enable any additional collection or use of the child's information.
Right to Information
We will make readily available information about our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information to our Registered Users. You also have a right to ask the Controller about what personal data and to what extent and for what purpose this data is processed. We will provide you with this information free of charge within 30 days at the latest, and in 90 days at the latest in case of extraordinary events. We will inform you about the extension of the time limit in exceptional cases. If you ask for the full scope of information we hold about you, we will first need to verify that you are the person to whom this information belongs. Therefore, please indicate sufficient personal identification in your application. If necessary, we have the right to request additional information to identify you before we provide you with the personal data we process about you.
We have a right to reject requests for information that are unreasonable or excessively repetitive, or their attendance requires disproportionate effort, or asking for information which would be difficult to obtain (typically from backup systems, archives, etc.).
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to obtain the personal data we hold about you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. Upon your request, this data can be passed on to another processor.
Updating Personal Data, Right to Rectification
Personal data should be relevant to the purposes for which it is to be used, and, to the extent necessary for those purposes, should be accurate, complete, and up‑to‑date.
Since personal data may change over time (for example, a change in surname), we would like to ask you to inform us whenever there is a change in your personal data so that we can keep your personal data up to date and avoid any potential errors. Submitting information about the change of data is essential for us to be able to carry out our activities as a Controller properly.
This is also related to your right to rectify any personal data we hold about you. If you find that our data is no longer up to date, you have the right to make a request for rectification.

Our Website may contain links to other websites that are not under our direct control. These websites may have their own policies regarding privacy. We have no control of or responsibility for linked websites and provide these links solely for the convenience and information of our visitors. You access such linked Websites at your own risk. These websites are not subject to this Privacy Policy. At the time of objection, the processing of your personal data will be limited until it is verified that the objection is justified. Right to Restrict Processing
You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data if you believe that it is not accurate, or we process it unlawfully and if you believe that we no longer need it for processing.
Right to Erasure
If you have ever given us consent to process your personal data (e.g. by providing an e‑mail address), you have the right to revoke it at any time and we have the obligation to delete the data we process solely based on your consent. The right to erasure does not apply to data processed for the necessity of the performance of a contract, legal reasons or legitimate interests. If some of your data is stored in back‑up systems that automatically ensure the resilience of all of our systems and function as data loss protection in the event of an accident, it is not in our power to erase this data from these back-up systems and often not even technically feasible. However, this data is no longer actively processed and will not be used for other processing purposes.
Also please understand that we are not able to re-active your account after a permanent deletion of your data.

The Processor does not share any such e‑mail address with any other entity. In the event that you decide at any time in the future that you no longer wish to receive e‑mails from the Processor for this purpose, you can withdraw your consent to process the e‑mail address here or in writing at the registered seat of the Controller.
We retain the right to use any Registered User Materials for promotional and marketing activities. This includes posting and sharing video material on publicly available websites such as YouTube for instance.
Privacy Policy Updates
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. You should review this Privacy Policy frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we may notify you on our Website, by a blog post, by e‑mail, or by any method we determine. The method we choose is at our sole discretion. Any such change or revision shall become effective immediately upon posting and you hereby agree to be bound to any such changes.
